About PCAC
The Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Council is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The purpose of the Council is to promote and advance the quality, safety, and integrity of pharmacy compounding through the development, implementation, and maintenance of voluntary accreditation standards and processes. In furtherance of this purpose, the Council seeks to protect public health by fostering excellence in compounding pharmacy practices; educating stakeholders, including pharmacists, healthcare providers, regulators, and the public; supporting continuous quality improvement; and encouraging compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards. The Council conducts its activities in an independent, objective, and transparent manner to serve the public interest and enhance patient care.
